5 Fall Drinks to Fall Back in Love With

As much as we don’t want to admit it, summer is coming to an end and fall is creeping up faster than we think. With every seasonal change comes a new round of coffee drinks to try, but let’s not forget some of the old standbys either. We’re talking about the coffee drinks that have been there for us each and every fall, without fail, helping us transition smoothly out of summer. Here’s a list of delicious coffee drinks to get you excited for this fall!

Lavender Latte: The classic latte is hard to beat- it warms you up in the chilly fall weather, gives you that boost of caffeine you desperately need most mornings, and most importantly it tastes delicious every time. However, this fall try getting a lavender latte instead. This interesting flavor is subtle yet unique, and makes each sip remarkable.

Flat White: It’s back! We loved this new drink so much that we can’t wait to for the hot summer weather to end and the cool fall to begin. Now you can order this delicious hot drink to warm you up and motivate you on your way into work, and since there are typically two espresso shots in it with a frothy micro foam on top, you won’t have any excuse to be tired at the office.

Caramel Macchiato: A little indulgence never hurt anybody…right? This sweet coffee drink can also be looked at as a dessert because it is just so delicious. However, a macchiato is made with espresso and just a little bit of milk, so the caramel flavor is necessary on those cold days when you’re just really upset that you’re not in your bed anymore. This drink will warm you right up, and put you in a better mood at the same time!

Red Eye: This espresso drink is not for the faint of heart, but it will definitely wake you up and warm you up. You can easily order this at your local coffee shop or make it at home by simply brewing a cup of coffee and adding two shots of bold espresso to it. It’s always a crowd pleaser, and it can be made iced as well, but for the upcoming fall weather we suggest trying it served hot.

Café au Lait: If you’re feeling that you need a break from your routine, try this French coffee drink. It is prepared using a strongly brewed coffee, typically brewed with a French press, or espresso, along with heated or warm milk with no foam. If you are sitting down to enjoy this lovely French drink, the milk is traditionally served in a separate pitcher from the coffee and then added after. So not to worry, now you know that you don’t have to be sad that summer is ending, because for whatever the season there will always be plenty of coffee drinks to enjoy.
