Dulce de Leche Affogato Iced Latte

This simple recipe converts one of my favorite affogato combinations into an iced drink, which I find easier to sip/enjoy on the go. “Dulce de leche” is a thick, caramel-like milk-based spread. The Häagen Dazs version of it is readily available in most grocery stores.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop of Häagen Dazs Dulce de Leche ice cream
  • 1 double shot of espresso (preferably a sweet, chocolate-heavy blend)
  • 4 large ice cubes
  • 6 oz. milk of choice

Directions

  1. Start by scooping the ice cream into your cup
  2. Pull your espresso shot
  3. Pour the espresso over the ice cream, creating an affogato
  4. Give the affogato a good stir, mixing ice cream and espresso together into a slurry
  5. Add ice
  6. Pour your milk over the top
  7. Stir again and enjoy!

Suggestions: Garnish with stroopwafel or Biscoff cookie crumbles/slivers. Toffee bits would also work nicely.
